What personal data we collect and why we collect it

Contact forms

When you use the contact form we collect your name, email address, topic, subject and message. When you use the booking request form we collect your name, email address, phone, organisation, event, date, venue capacity, ticket price, proposed fee and your additional information. We use this data to answer your message or request (pre-contractual measures and legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR). Your IP address is used to keep the forms free of spam (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Cookies

A strictly necessary cookie remembers your cookie choice for 12 months. The cookies of the music players are placed only after you accept them in the cookie banner. See our Cookies Policy, where you can change your choice at any time.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

The Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube players load only after you accept them in the cookie banner (consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). The SoundCloud player on the Radio Show page loads when you press play on it. YouTube is embedded in its privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com).

Analytics

Visitor statistics are used only if we switch them on, and only with your consent.

Server logs

Our server logs record your IP address, browser type, operating system, device information, the pages visited, the date and time of the visit and the referring URL, for the security of the website and to prevent abuse (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

  • Our email provider (the contact and booking forms reach us by email)

  • The artist Airwave and his booking agent, when your request is about a booking

  • Law enforcement or judicial authorities where required by Belgian or EU law

We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties.

How long we retain your data

  • Contact messages and booking requests: 12 months after our last reply

You can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Under the GDPR you also have the right to rectification (Art. 16), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and objection to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21), and you can withdraw your consent at any time (Art. 7(3)), without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
